Reflecting on a Year of Growth and Looking Ahead to 2026–2027
The Georgia Association of Middle School Principals (GAMSP) celebrates another successful year of supporting, developing, and advocating for Georgia’s middle level leaders. Throughout the 2025–2026 school year, GAMSP expanded professional learning, strengthened member engagement, advanced advocacy efforts, and recognized outstanding leadership across the state.
Members participated in the annual GAESP/GAMSP Fall Conference and GAMSP Spring Drive-In Conference, GAMSP also proudly recognized exceptional leaders through its annual awards program, including Georgia’s National Distinguished Principal, Dr. Holly Barnes, and National Outstanding Assistant Principal, Mrs. Samantha Bradley, celebrating the impact of middle level leaders across Georgia.
Advocacy remained a priority as GAMSP partnered with NAESP to represent Georgia school leaders in Washington, D.C., meeting with federal lawmakers to advocate for public education and issues impacting schools, educators, and students.
Looking ahead, GAMSP is excited to expand outreach across all 16 RESA districts through district-led meetings, enhanced regional collaboration, and new virtual networking opportunities that connect principals and assistant principals throughout the year. Planning is also underway for the inaugural Georgia Principals Conference, bringing together elementary, middle, and high school leaders for a unified K–12 professional learning experience.
With the continued support of GAEL, our Board of Directors, and members across the state, GAMSP remains committed to providing exceptional professional learning, meaningful connections, and a strong voice for middle level education. We look forward to another year of empowering leaders and strengthening Georgia’s schools.
